Coffee Castle launches a coffee specially processed for reusable capsules, a more environmentally friendly solution than disposable pods. With this new product, available in four varieties, the Quebec roastery, which has a storefront in Montcalm, promises a beverage that combines taste, quality, and a smooth texture. crema sought after by arabica lovers.

Flavor and quality weren't always consistent for users of reusable capsules. As for the crema, This emulsion of fats, which forms a creamy, hazelnut-colored foam on the surface of an espresso, was often lacking. It was therefore necessary to offer a coffee better suited to the tastes of enthusiasts.

This new treated coffee was developed after three years of research and development dedicated to the development of a new technology and the manufacture of custom-made equipment for Café Castelo.

THE " mechanical treatment "The product is different from other ground coffees and has been adapted for use with reusable capsules," explains Anja Okuka, Business Development Director at Café Castelo. This process, developed through a long research process, remains secret, we are told when we try to obtain more details.

In addition to encouraging more responsible consumption, coffee specially processed for capsules is an option up to 50 % cheaper than single-use pods from industry giants.

This coffee, specially processed for reusable capsules, is available in four flavor and intensity variations. : Marcato (tasty and intense), Gustoso (rich and woody), Deca Dolce (fragrant and decaffeinated) and Ampio (creamy and balanced).

It contains no chemical agents or preservatives. It contains 100% grains % Arabica and « is no less in quality than coffee beans "Available at Castelo," Ms. Okuka maintains.

Decaffeinated coffee, on the other hand, is decaffeinated with water, according to the Swiss method, resulting in a healthier product without additives, whereas " Sometimes, some people use solvents to decaffeinate "The grains," says the director of business development at Castelo. In this family business, the focus is more on the natural aspect of the products.

These new Castelo cafes work with any type of reusable capsule, from a famous brand or a supermarket.

For example, the success rate for brewing coffee from other brands in reusable capsules compatible with the Nespresso VertuoLine range was between 40 % and 60 %, while with Castelo processed coffee, it is 100 %, adds Ms. Okuka.

In addition to the four varieties of processed coffee currently available, others could be introduced, given customer demand and the popularity of these products. Two to three new variations, inspired by Castelo's most popular whole bean coffees, could therefore be launched.

The company aims to be constantly evolving and always wants to offer " something better "to her clients," Ms. Okuka said. We always want to offer a quality product " she said.
