Our Ecological Innovations
At Café Castelo, we are proud of our research and development department dedicated to green innovation. We constantly work on developing more sustainable technologies that allow us to market eco-friendly, flavorful, and economical products. Discover our two major innovations.: treated coffee for reusable capsules and Universal Grind.

100% success
Although reusable capsules were already on the market, their success rate varied between 30% and 60%. Aware of this challenge, we dedicated three years of research and development to create custom equipment capable of optimally processing coffee for these capsules. The result? A 100% successful brew every time. This is our promise of quality and satisfaction.

Crema, flavour and local!
Our processed coffee is 100% natural and represents a purely Québécois innovation. As a family-run business, we wanted to offer a delicious solution that lets you enjoy artisan-roasted coffee, freshly roasted and processed every week. This approach not only guarantees exceptional quality, but also saves you up to 50%. At Café Castelo, we are proud to combine tradition and innovation to offer our customers the very best in coffee.
Our Specially Treated Coffee for Reusable Capsules
Our promise is to give you fresher, tastier coffee and thicker crema, and to save you money by choosing local.

one bag for all
At Café Castelo, our Universal Grind is designed to offer optimal flexibility and quality, tailored to all your preferred brewing methods. This unique technology is perfectly suited for all coffee makers, allowing you to enjoy our exceptional coffee, no matter how you choose to brew it. With our Universal Grind, you are assured of a perfect brew every time, combining convenience and unparalleled flavor.

Better extraction
Universal Grind offers many advantages over regular grind, notably the ability to produce a uniform grind thanks to a series of mechanical processes. This feature is essential for achieving optimal coffee quality because an excessive amount of fine particles increases surface contact, pressure, and brewing time, which can lead to over-extraction and defects such as excessive bitterness. Conversely, an excess of coarse particles reduces surface contact, pressure, and extraction time, which can prevent sufficient extraction and cause defects such as increased acidity.
Our coffees in Universal Grind
This is a major breakthrough in the world of coffee, significantly reducing pollution, increasing coffee efficiency, enhancing taste and making it easier to brew coffee in all types of coffeemaker.
